Bridging Borders, Building Joy: When Palestine’s Leisure Vision Met Xiangshuo’s Bowling Expertise

Last month, our Xiangshuo Technology team had the honor of hosting a delegation from Palestine—representatives of Ramallah-based Leisure Group, a company on a mission to bring modern, family-friendly entertainment to their community. What began as a meeting about bowling alley equipment quickly turned into a conversation about shared goals: creating spaces where people can connect, laugh, and make memories. Today, we’re excited to share how this cross-border collaboration unfolded—and why it matters for both Palestine’s leisure industry and our team at Xiangshuo.
The “Why” Behind the Visit: Palestine’s Hunger for New Leisure Spaces
When Mr. Khaled , founder of the Leisure Group, walked into our Beijing office, he didn’t just have a list of equipment specs—he had a vision. “In Ramallah, and across Palestine, families crave safe, engaging places to spend time together,” he told us over coffee. “We have parks, but indoor options? Especially for rainy days or hot summers? They’re rare. A bowling alley isn’t just ‘fun’—it’s a way to bring communities closer.”
Al-Masry’s team is building a 5,000-square-meter indoor entertainment hub in downtown Ramallah, set to open next year. Their center will include arcades, a café, and a 6-lane bowling alley—the first of its kind in the area to meet international standards. But they had a challenge: finding equipment that was high-quality, adaptable to their space, and supported by reliable after-sales service—all within a reasonable budget.
After researching global suppliers, they landed on Xiangshuo. “Your USBC-approved string pinsetters and Mini Duckpin options stood out,” Mr. Al-Masry explained. “But we needed to see the quality in person. Trust matters when you’re building something that will serve your community for years.”
Day 1: Seeing (and Testing!) the Equipment That Would Bring Their Vision to Life
Our first stop was our product showroom—and the moment the delegation laid eyes on string pinsetters, their questions poured in. “How fast is the pin-setting?” “Can it handle heavy use?” “Is it easy to maintain?”
We didn’t just answer—we demoed.
One of Al-Masry’s technical managers, rolled a test ball down the lane. The pinsetter responded in 8.5 seconds—faster than the average pinsetter—and reset the pins with precision. “In Ramallah, we expect the alley to be busy on weekends—long waits would ruin the experience,” Mr. Suleiman said, impressed. “This speed means more games, more happy customers.”
Next, we showed them our Mini Duckpin lanes—compact (just 9.1 meters long) and designed for all ages. “Our center will have kids as young as 6 playing,” Mr. Al-Masry noted. He picked up one of our 1.2kg Mini Duckpin balls—light enough for a child, but sturdy enough for adults—and smiled. “This is perfect. No more kids struggling with heavy balls—everyone can join in.”
We also walked them through our customized scoring system, which we offered to tweak with Arabic language support (a small but crucial detail for their local audience). When they saw the strike animations and score-tracking features, Mr. Al-Masry laughed: “My daughter will love this—she’s already asking when she can be the first to get a strike.”
Day 2: Talking Details—From Logistics to After-Sales (The “No-Stress” Promise)
Great equipment is only half the battle—especially for a cross-border project. On Day 2, we dove into the practical stuff: How would the equipment get to Ramallah? Who would install it? What if something needs fixing?
The Al-Masry team was upfront about their concerns: “Shipping to Palestine can be complicated. And we don’t have local technicians trained on this equipment yet.”
We had solutions ready:
-
Logistics made simple: We partnered with a freight company experienced in Middle East shipments, who will handle customs clearance and deliver the equipment directly to their construction site—no middlemen, no delays.
-
On-site installation & training: Our 2-person technical team will fly to Ramallah for 2 weeks to assemble the bowling lanes, calibrate the pinsetters, and train 3 of their staff members (from operators to maintenance techs) on every detail—even how to clean the ball return systems.
-
24/7 support: We’re launching a dedicated support hotline for Al-Masry, staffed by team members. If they hit a problem at 8 PM local time, they won’t wait for a response—we’ll be there.
Mr. Al-Masry summed it up: “You didn’t just sell us equipment—you sold us peace of mind. That’s the difference between a supplier and a partner.”
The Moment We Signed: More Than a Deal—A Commitment to Joy
On the final day, we sat down to sign the agreement: Xiangshuo will supply 6 lanes (4 standard bowling lanes + 2 Mini Duckpin lanes), plus scoring systems, ball racks, and lane lighting—all tailored to their space and audience. But the mood wasn’t just “business”—it was celebration.
Mr. Al-Masry pulled out his phone and showed us photos of the construction site in Ramallah. “Look—this empty lot will soon be where families celebrate birthdays, where friends compete for high scores, where kids learn to bowl for the first time,” he said. “Thanks to you, that’s going to happen.”
For our team, that’s the best part of what we do. We don’t just build bowling equipment—we build spaces that bring people joy. When a client from Palestine shares their vision for their community, and we get to help make it real? That’s why we come to work every day.
What’s Next? Watching the Magic Happen
Production on Al-Masry’s equipment will start next month, with installation planned for early 2026. We’ll be sharing updates on our social media—from photos of the lanes being built to the grand opening in Ramallah. And we’re already talking about future projects: Al-Masry has plans to expand to Nablus and Hebron, and they’ve told us they want Xiangshuo right there with them.
To anyone reading this who’s building something for their community—whether it’s a bowling alley in Palestine or a small arcade in your hometown—remember: Great projects aren’t just about specs or budgets. They’re about people. They’re about the smiles on a kid’s face when they knock down their first pin, or the laughter of friends competing for a high score.
At Xiangshuo, we’re proud to be part of those moments—no matter where in the world they happen.
